This is the story of a French Foreign Legion squad, forgotten and forsaken somewhere in the gulf of Djibouti. They are the remnants of a ghost army, playing war games and mending roads. In Marseilles, ex-under officer Galoup remembers this happy period, this well-orchestrated life, his men, his dear flock. But what he really misses from this time is his commanding officer, the very man whom he had refused to share with a young legionnaire.

Un peloton de la Légion Etrangère oublié, abandonné quelque part dans le Golfe de Djibouti. Les restes d’une armée fantôme qui joue à la guerre et répare les routes. A Marseille, l’ex-adjudant Galoup se souvient de ces temps heureux, de cette vie si bien orchestrée, de ses hommes, son cher troupeau. Mais ce qu’il a vraiment perdu, c’est son commandant. Son commandant qu’il n’a pas voulu partager avec un jeune légionnaire.
