Edito November 2014

The month of November brings us circus, fun, laughter and history as we move to activities that are meant for all ages.

On Sunday, November 2, 2014, along with the support of Achariya School, we bring to you a performance entitled 3 x Rien / Next to Nothing – a group that has become a household name in the world of circus acrobatics and musicals. They will perform at the Kamban Kalai Arangam Hall at 6.30 PM.

The performance is a new approach to acrobatics adding poetry, music and breathtaking moments that will leave you spellbound!

On November 11, 2014 at 11.00 AM, Sean Kelly the Consul General of Australia in Chennai will inaugurate a vivid photo exhibition on the Centenary of the Emden Spirit at Maison Colombani.

This exhibition depicts the shelling of Madras by the German cruiser SMS Emden on the night of September 22, 1914 till the defeat of the Emden by the Australian cruiser HMAS Sydney marking the starting point of a shared military history between India and Australia.

This month also welcomed back our 5 students and their accompanying teacher from their academic and study tour at the Reunion Island, an event introduced during the 125 years Anniversary Celebrations earlier this year.

They will share their experiences and speak to the students and members of the Alliance on November 21, 2014 at 6.00 PM at the AFP Auditorium.

The Indian film cycle takes over this month with 5 Sundays packed with Indian films with English subtitles at the AFP Auditorium, starting at 6.00 PM.
