Edito December  2014

As 2014 draws to a close leaving in our minds memories of a successful and colourful array of events that marked the 125 years anniversary, Alliance française welcomes December, traditionally marking the festive season.

The month of Christmas and Santa Claus will delight the children with Alliance adding fun on the 5th of December in its Auditorium, a special Yoga session for children and family, to stay healthy and play with the five elements around us. Teressa Asencia, author and yoga teacher will demonstrate this ancient Indian Art on Friday at 6.00 PM on December 5, 2014 at AFP Auditorium.

Painting is the expression of emotion with colours. Every painting is a dream on canvas and colours mark the emotion in those dreams, says Greema Michael whose paintings will adorn the walls of the gallery in Maison Colombani from 3rd to 9th December 2014. The exhibition is open from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm.

As it is probably one of the most important dimensions of our time and the least understood in our daily life, we decided to organize “Les Mardis de l’économie”, presented by Nicolas Joffroy, professor at the Alliance française de Pondicherry and familiar with the world of business. A documentary will be screened followed by a discussion session for which we await your presence on 16th December at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium

With a relaxed month of December, Alliance française is working on the next Indo-French Festival 2015, Pondichéry  Rencontres / Encounters 2015 scheduled from 28th January to 22nd of February 2015.

Do look forward to yet another great festival, with over 15 events including literature, music, dance, performing arts, films, and exhibitions and a series of lectures, over a three-week period.
