November 17th:

We will have the pleasure to welcome Jean-Jacques Lemêtre, the famous musical director of the Théâtre du Soleil, in our auditorium on December 14th, 15th 16th, and 17th. There, he will conduct a workshop with people who cannot attend to the Ecole Nomade. Here is a little text from Jean-Jacques Lemêtre himself (translated by our services).

“Like in the origins, this a true symbiosis between musician, director, and performers like actors and dancers we have to to reach. Practicing will offer the opportunity to explore, in its specific nature, the language of each and every one, not only through the voice but through the entire body. Jean-Jacques Lemêtre encourages to overcome the technique, put into light the analogy between the dissociation problems and Human disharmony, questions the artist in his or her relationship with his or her environment in order to conceive and deepen the relationship between the rhythm and Theater music. The initiative calls for a new learning of the rhythmic of the body and metric of the language. We will work without music instruments, in order to use the rhythmic, melodic and harmonic potential of our own bodies and voices, involving our ways of walking, movements, punctuation, breathes,  diction and so on.

Conceived for all performers on stage: actors, dancers, singers or musician teachers or from university, the workshop will require to develop dynamism, agility and depth.

Musically yours,

J.J”
